In collaboration with Westpac
This project involved the design and delivery of Australia’s largest and oldest bank, Westpac's new native mobile banking app. Collaborating with cross-functional agile teams to meet tight deadlines and navigate constraints within allocated budgets.
Account framework
Case study
Leading the strategic design of the account framework, I proposed a modular design approach that seamlessly scaled across all twenty six product types—current, savings, credit, term, and loan accounts.
Driving this initiative required clearly articulating the vision to leadership and key stakeholders, while simultaneously collaborating with solution architects and engineers. Aligning business and technical requirements to deliver practical and achievable design solutions
Parallel to leading the account framework, I was responsible for the information architecture (IA); organising individual features and services into logical positions throughout the app. This process involved prototyping the proposed IA and conducting iterative rounds of customer testing. Validating against real customers’ everyday banking behaviours and incorporating valuable feedback at each stage to iterate and refine the final product.
The outcomes of the project have been realised by a number of digital transformation awards; most notably, it's ranking as Australia's #1 banking app and being recognised as an award winning app by The Forrester Digital Experience Review™ .
